Description

The Advanced Power Technology Forum (APTF) is a two-day meeting sponsored by Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and CAR/Altarum that will take place on August 5-6, 2002. The APTF will showcase thought leaders with expertise covering a broad spectrum of advanced technologies, as well as state/federal government and industry policymakers. The aim of these sessions is to review current progress and plans for developing advanced power technology options and to examine issues and opportunities in this field, including residential, commercial and automotive power applications, as well as infrastructure. These sessions are intended to help shape policy decision making for accelerating commercial introduction of advanced power technology options.

3 days of round tables, conferences and sessions on 23, 24 and 25 October 2002 in Madrid:

Eurailspeed 2002 will comprise round tables, conferences and debates led by professionnal journalists and involving top international figures from all 5 continents representing the full spectrum of the business community. The central theme of the congress will be: "High speed rail, successes and challenges". It will be an opportunity to focus on the various national and international projects, examine the state of the art on the technology front, look into public-private partnerships and explore the new markets opening up to high speed rail.

The official languages of the congress will be Spanish, English, French and German. Japanese translation will also be available.

Founded in 1990, Montreux Energy organizes two strategic forums on the future of global energy investment. The symposium seeks to bring together model developers and users to exchange information on land use and transport modeling.
The Symposium will focus on the second generation integrated land use, economic, and transport models developed under the ongoing TLUMIP work, on Albatross, a learning based transportation oriented simulation system developed at the Eindhoven Institute of Technology in the Netherlands and reviewing the ongoing work on integrated land use - transport models in Canada by Doug Hunt (University of Calgary) and Eric Miller (University of Toronto).
